Scientists from China and UK awarded for contribution to SDGs

Hartmut Michel, a recipient of the 1988 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, foreign member of the Royal Society and foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Joseph H. Taylor Jr., a professor of physics and member of the National Academy of Sciences who won the Nobel Prize in 1993; Shu Wei, vice chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology and Secretary of the Secretariat; and Lu Shan, vice governor of the Government of Zhejiang Province, presented the laureates with trophies and certificates. The Wenzhou World Youth Scientist Development Foundation provided each laureate with a prize of 1 million yuan ($13.7 million).
