During the premiere in Beijing earlier this month, Cao said that he hopes the movie will be more than a captivating crime story, and move people to reflect on parenting problems, especially in Asian families.

At the special IMAX screening in Beijing on Saturday, sound director Wang Gang said that 95 percent of the dialogue was recorded on set, with only a few lines recorded during post-production.

He added that sound is not simply a reproduction of the scene, but involves carefully designed elements that contribute to character development, atmosphere creation, and plot advancement. For example, the film includes natural sounds like the sound of waves and thunder, which are used to render the emotions of the characters or express tension.
