Since it joined Fangda Group Industrial on Dec 8, 2021, Hainan Airlines has prioritized safety management and offered first-class services to reveal a new chapter of high-quality development.

The airline has established an integrated mechanism for quality, strictly implementing the investigation and rectification of major safety hazards.

Over the past two years, Hainan Airlines has accumulated approximately 940,000 hours of safe flight, invested nearly 19.5 billion yuan ($2.73 billion) in aircraft materials and maintenance funds and restored more than 200 grounded aircraft.

To cater to the diverse needs of passengers, the airline has provided assistance to nearly 52,000 unaccompanied children and about 58,000 wheelchair users, and carried out more than 500 ground and in-flight medical emergencies.

Hainan Airlines innovates its services and provides passengers with considerate products, including freshly brewed hand-poured coffee, signature rest cards, local dialect broadcasts and special music playlists.

It also provides passengers with high-quality and diversified cabin network services. Currently, Hainan Airlines has 28 Boeing 787-9 aircraft equipped with Wi-Fi, making it the largest operator of Wi-Fi service for Boeing 787-9 in China, as well as 80 aircraft with an onboard wireless local area network, ranking first in China.

In February, the company was awarded the Skytrax Five-Star Airline honor for the 12th consecutive year. At the 2023 World Airline Awards ceremony held at the Paris Air Show in France on June 20, Skytrax, the global airline and airport service evaluation organization, announced the winners of the 2023 World Airline Awards.

Hainan Airlines won 10 global or regional first-place honors including Best Airlines in China, Best Airlines Staff Service in China, and Best Business Class Comfort Amenities.

With the gradual passing of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the civil aviation industry, the company is firmly grasping market opportunities, increasing the resumption of routes and innovating services and products.

All its key operating indicators, such as revenue passenger kilometers, passenger transport volume and passenger transport capacity input, have achieved significant improvements.

In the third quarter, Hainan Airlines achieved a net profit of nearly 2.5 billion yuan, a record amount.
