Qiu Jinxian: The only Chinese senior conservator at the British Museum

Admonitions of the Instructress to the Court Ladies is famous globally, both for its historical and artistic importance. An ancient copy of the work known widely as the Admonitions Scroll is displayed for six weeks a year at the British Museum. However, few people know who was behind the annual glimpse of the masterpiece that had been stored out of sight for more than a century.

China Daily talks with Qiu Jinxian, the only senior Chinese conservator at the museum, about the conservation of Chinese paintings.
