Chinese ambassador hosts special reception ahead of Spring Festival

China's Ambassador to the UK, Zheng Zeguang and his wife, Hua Mei, hosted a special reception at the embassy on Thursday in celebration of the upcoming traditional Chinese New Year.
The event was attended by newly elected foreign academics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2023, along with their spouses.
Thursday was also the Laba Festival, which falls on the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month, marking the beginning of the Chinese New Year festivities.
