Chinese shares close higher Wednesday

China's major stock indices ended higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.80 percent at 2,820.77 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.00 percent to end at 8,682.19 points.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, rose 0.51 percent to 1,696.19 points.
