As a biting cold front has swept through northern regions of the country recently, Jiangsu province also finds itself in the grasp of chilling cold waves, with local power suppliers having deployed a myriad of strategies to fortify the grid against weather hazards and ensure the steadfast provision of electricity.
In Jiangsu's Suqian, where the relentless icy downpour threatens the stability of power lines, State Grid Suqian Power Supply Co springs into action by initiating an emergency response, including closely monitoring weather conditions and grid loads, and enabling smooth grid operations and stable power supply.

Jiangsu has also taken preemptive steps to elevate operators' prowess in responding to cold waves. Even before the fierce cold air made its grand entrance, rigorous training sessions were underway. The sessions have prepared the personnel to conduct grid inspections and relevant maintenance work against complex weather conditions such as rain, snow, ice and howling winds.

"We have been staying vigilant, ready to face whatever nature throws our way," said Dai Chengdi, deputy general manager of Suqian Sunshine Power Transmission and Transformation Engineering Co under the State Grid Corp of China.

Collaborating with Suqian High-speed Rail Station, the power supplier aims to ensure that even amid the chaos of cold waves, passengers during the Spring Festival holiday can find solace in uninterrupted electricity, said State Grid Suqian Power Supply Co.
