Chinese home appliances giant Midea Group has opened a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) showroom in New York, the United States, showcasing its comprehensive heating solutions in various scenarios, climates and building types.

Technologies and products being showcased at the HVAC showroom include ultra-low-temperature heat pumps developed by Midea in collaboration with the US Department of Energy, innovative window-type heat pumps designated by the New York State government, as well as the ultra-high-efficiency central air duct system, according to the company.

Additionally, the showroom serves as an all-in-one service center integrating distribution, after-sales and training, representing another important initiative in Midea's overseas professional channel localization efforts to enhance local service capabilities.

Citing Midea as a leading heat pump manufacturer and a pioneer in heat pump education, Huang Changfei, director of Midea's overseas air conditioning marketing in North America, said uniting industry forces, including multi-party cooperation and strengthening industry education, played a key role in driving the transformation of the entire society's heating methods.

"We will actively promote cooperation with government agencies, industry associations and air conditioning installation engineers to accelerate nationwide heat pump replacements," said Huang.

Midea would continue to establish more product education, promotion, and service centers in the US, and collaborate with the Long Island Power Authority in New York to launch heat pump installation training and heat pump application pilot projects, according to Huang.
