On March 9, an exhibition on China-US friendship at the Weixian Concentration Camp, where Japanese fascists imprisoned about 2,000 Western nationals during World War II, has opened in San Francisco. The exhibition tells the story of how Chinese soldiers and civilians rescued more than 2,000 Western expatriates who were imprisoned in a concentration camp in Weixian (now Weifang), Shandong province, during World War II. It demonstrates the power of international solidarity and records the deep friendship between the people of China and the United States in the fight against Japanese aggression.
