Youth unemployment rates have slightly increased in February, according to latest figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday.
The surveyed unemployment rate of youths aged between 16 and 24 was 15.3 percent in February, up 0.7 percentage point from that in January.
The number was 6.4 percent for people aged from 25 to 29 in February, increasing by 0.2 percentage point from that in January. These calculations didn't include students who are currently attending schools.
Starting from December last year, the NBS has adjusted and improved the calculation of the unemployment rates by age group, and released the unemployment rates of the labor force aged between 16 and 24, 25 and 29, as well as 30 and 59, all excluding in-school students.
