In the picturesque county of Liangshan county, nestled along the banks of the Yellow River, a story of rural vitalization unfolds.

Liangshan, the only county in Shandong province to host the Yellow River's passage, embarked on a monumental endeavor at the end of 2020. Over three years of relentless effort, 22 villages and 20,436 residents on the Yellow River floodplain were relocated to new residential complexes, fulfilling the residents' dream of a secure and tranquil home.

Behind the achievement lies the support of the local power supplier, which not only organised the relocation, but also integrated the effort with rural industrial development.

For example, Jining Power Supply Co. has established a "15-minute" power service circle, building a strong and reliable smart grid. Three new power lines have also been constructed to supply electricity to an industrial park, with technicians regularly inspecting power usage of the enterprises, addressing their electricity-related issues, advising on the allocation of reactive power compensation equipment, and optimizing electricity consumption during peak and off-peak hours to reduce costs.

Last week, employees from the power company provided service for an agricultural demonstration zone in Jining. They inspected the irrigation lines, transformers, and other power distribution facilities, promptly addressing any operational issues to ensure the safety and stability of the electrical grid.

The service has not only boosted local agricultural productivity, but also served as a cornerstone for rural vitalization efforts in the region, said a user at the demonstration zone.
