Enterprises and residents in Linyi County, in East China's Shandong Province, have intensified efforts to promote industrial upgrading and the transition to green energy in all aspects, significantly contributing to local rural revitalization in recent years.
With the assistance of the local power supplier, Linyi has developed a range of electrification technologies and implemented them widely in greenhouse cultivation and grain drying. Meanwhile, 45 villages and over 7,900 households have transitioned away from coal power to electricity.
The State Grid’s Linyi Power Supply Co said it has invested 160 million yuan ($22.11 million) to electrify all the pumping wells in 411 villages. The company has also actively expanded its channels to support rural areas and has so far purchased 460,000 yuan of agricultural products from Linyi’s poor regions.
Furthermore, the company has funded the construction of three photovoltaic power stations, 46 photovoltaic streetlights, and a supermarket. Additionally, two service stations have been established to promptly address residents' requests.
Regarding poverty-alleviation factories, the company said that it provides preferential electricity prices, assisting 41 factories in saving 290,000 yuan on their electricity bills.
