Ambassador urges closer cooperation with Aberdeen

On Saturday, during Zheng's visit to the CNOOC (China National Offshore Oil Corporation) Petroleum Europe Limited headquarters in Aberdeen, he re-emphasized the importance of enhancing China-UK cooperation, particularly in the energy field.

As both China and the UK are making efforts to scale up green development, the ambassador encouraged the company to strengthen dialogues and pragmatic cooperation with its UK counterparts in driving energy transition and ensuring energy security, thereby contributing to global interests.

Pan Yiyong, managing director of CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited, said the company will facilitate its cooperation with British partners and fulfill its corporate social responsibilities.
