8.0 magnitude quake hits 133 km SE of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia -- USGS

BEIJING -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 8.0 jolted 133 km SE of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia at 2324 GMT on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 74.0 km, was initially determined to be at 52.20 degrees north latitude and 160.00 degrees east longitude.
