Yin Jianye, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Jiangxi Provincial Committee, has been placed under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation while in office for being suspected of serious violations of Party discipline and laws, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission announced on Sunday.

Yin, 62, of the Bai ethnic group, was born in Yunnan province. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1985 and started working in 1986 until he transferred to Jiangxi province in October 2015.

He once worked in Yunnan and held key positions, including director of the Yunnan provincial audit department, Party chief of Dali Bai autonomous prefecture, and vice governor of Yunnan.

He later took up posts in Jiangxi province, serving as the province's vice governor, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee, and head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee. Since 2022, he has served as vice-chairman of the CPPCC Jiangxi Provincial Committee.

In recent years, several former senior officials of the CPPCC of Jiangxi Provincial Committee have been placed under investigation. Hu Youtao, a former vice-chairman of the CPPCC Jiangxi Provincial Committee, was probed in June 2025. He was expelled from the Party in December of the same year, and his suspected bribe-taking case was transferred to procuratorial authorities for handling.

Hu Qiang, another former vice-chairman of the CPPCC Jiangxi Provincial Committee, came under investigation in February 2024. He was expelled from the Party in August that year and sentenced to 13 years in prison for bribery at first instance in September 2025.
