2 dead as crane topples on Thailand's Rama II Road

BANGKOK - A construction crane collapsed Thursday morning on Rama II Road, the key thoroughfare linking Bangkok and Samut Sakhon province, leaving two people dead and several others injured, according to Thai media reports.

Footage from the scene shows the construction crane, which was operating on an overpass, toppled over and struck two moving vehicles traveling on the road below.

Emergency responders are currently carrying out full-scale rescue operations at the accident site.
