"China has been an example in accelerating green technologies inside their own country," Brian Hill, founder and CEO of Edovo Foundation, said in an interview with China Daily at the "Zhi-Xing China: US-China Youth Leaders Dialogue" in Beijing on Friday.
Hill noted that as the world's two largest economies, China and the US have tremendous potential for collaboration in green energy development. He said the two countries should deepen cooperation in key areas such as joint research, manufacturing capacity, and university partnerships.
Brian Hill's visit to China is part of the Harvard China Trek 2026 program, with "Zhi-Xing China: US-China Youth Leaders Dialogue" being one of its key events. The Harvard China Trek program is jointly organized by the Harvard Kennedy School Greater China Society and the Hi China International Youth Development Alliance. Running for over a decade, the program serves students mainly from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The program is dedicated to building a platform for exchange and cooperation between Chinese and foreign youth, promoting cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and actively supporting the "50,000 in Five Years" initiative, which aims to bring 50,000 young Americans to China for educational exchanges and study programs.
The event was coordinated by the co-chairs of Harvard Kennedy School Greater China Society: Hu Yiming, Peng Yuchuan, and Zhou Zhuyue.
