SHIJIAZHUANG - A forest fire that raged for two days in north China's Hebei province was extinguished Sunday afternoon through the efforts of 6,100 firefighters and local residents, local authorities said.
As of 4 p.m., the fire, which began in the village of Yinzhuangzi in the city of Zhangjiakou, had been completely extinguished and no casualties had been reported, a local official said.
