President Hu Jintao on Monday met with US President Barack Obama on the sidelines of the 2012 Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul.

Hu said this official meeting with his US counterpart is the first in this year and the 11th in the past three years.

Obama said the fact of 11 official meetings indicates the US and China's concerted emphasis on bilateral ties.

According to schedule, the talk will last for a hour and a half, and both sides will exchange views on international and regional issues of common concerns as well as the bilateral ties.
