Scholars suggest ways to tell China's story

In international communication, China should water down the tone of highlighting its distinctive characteristics and avoid the trap of describing itself as being exclusive to universal values. China's growth in the past 30 years was a process of engaging with human civilization, giving up narrow-mindedness and biases as well as the spread of freedom, democracy and the rule of law.
