This river crossing near the school is reportedly the only quasi-safe route to Naha Primary School during the rainstorms in June. Even still, the water level rises so much that it is impossible for children to cross, forcing teachers to help them get across the tumultuous flows.

The teachers say they themselves are frightened by the fast torrents sometimes, and hope a bridge will be built there.
