Highway revitalizes cutoff county

This photo shows Dawu residents of Tibetan ethnicity in a home-inn, which features splendid wall carvings and paintings .This home has been turned into a tourist destinations, in Garze Tibetan autonomous region, Southwest China's Sichuan province, Oct 13. Originally cut off from mainstream tourists, the mountainous village has seen a revival in tourism since 2006, when a section of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway passing through the county was rebuilt into a smooth asphalt road from the original bumpy, cobbled road.
