Beijing H1 foreign trade up more than 60%

Beijing recorded $144.4 billion in foreign trade in the first half of this year, a growth of 60.2 percent on the same period of last year, according to the municipal customs house.

The total included $26 billion in export value, up 16.3 percent, and $118.4 billion in import value, up 74.7 percent.

The city's trade deficit doubled the year-earlier level to $92.4 billion.
