XICHANG, Sichuan -- China will launch its second lunar probe, Chang'e-2, at the optimum time within October 1-3, the Xichang Satellite Launch Center (XSLC) in southwest China's Sichuan Province announced Wednesday.

Fuel loading of the rocket, the CZ-3C, will begin on September 30.
