Two months later, the Buddha domesticated some wild elephants. The elephants dug a pond with their crowbar delicate teeth, and made fire with firewood to heat stones and then dumped them into cold water to heat it up. In this way, Buddha may take a bath in the pond without getting cold.

Since Buddha left, his disciples were difficult in making a living. Thus Buddha's cousin was asked to invite the Buddha back on behalf of Mongyue Buddhist Temple.

Hearing his cousin's cry, Buddha decided to return to the temple. Elephants were reluctant to see him off. The Buddha, therefore, said to the elephants: "I have disciples in crisis, I must go. I owe you elephants much and I won't forget. I'll leave something to you so that you can see me everyday." Saying this, Buddha stamped his footprint in a rock.
