Discounts
To lure more tourists from other provinces, Guizhou province offers a 50-percent-off discount on tickets to the province's top scenic spots from July 18 to Sept 15. Visitors coming from Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hunan, Hubei, Shaanxi, Jiangxi, Anhui, the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, and Chongqing municipality, can all enjoy the benefit.
Cars with license plates registered in the 10 areas can also enjoy a 50-percent discount on tolls if they use the provincial highway during the same two-month period. Airline tickets also enjoy big discounts between Guizhou and the 10 areas.
Transportation
The days have gone when poor transportation was a drag on Guizhou's tourism. The province became the first in southwestern China to have highways in each of its 88 counties and districts.
The high-speed railway transportation circle has also improved, as the Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway were put in use in 2016, and the Chongqing-Guiyang High-speed Railway is set to open at the end of this year. To further benefit tourists from afar, Guizhou plans to establish a civil airport in every city. Ten airports have been open to air traffic so far.
