Beijing police patrol the northern part of the capital starting at 9:30 pm on Thursday night, with the aim of improving anti-terror preparedness. More than 30 special operations vehicles, armoured vehicles and satellite vehicles covered more than 100 km with two aircrafts following the police convoy. The unprecedented show of force started from Changping district in Beijing's northern suburbs, and moved south and west until it reached North 5th Ring Road in Shijingshan district.
