Foshan Bureau Welcomes Foreigners to Work

Foshan Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau (Foshan Bureau) is a department of the municipal government of Foshan in the Pearl River Delta region. The bureau is responsible for the co-ordination and administration of affairs involving foreign trade, economic co-operation, foreign investment as well as port management.

The city of Foshan is a drive of only 45 minutes away from downtown Guangzhou, the provincial capital of Guangdong, with other Pearl River Delta cities as well as Hong Kong and Macao SARs within two hours of drive.

Foshan is one of the best-developed manufacturing and one of the wealthiest cities in the Delta region with dozens of industries having taken shape and a handful of advanced manufacturing industries and growth industries being taking off.

Foshan is also one of the hottest spots for investors with about 7,000 foreign-funded investment projects in place.

The city is carrying out a three-year plan to prioritize investment projects related to strategic industries including new-generation IT, new energy, bio-medicine, fl at-panel displays, automobiles, semiconductor lighting, and modern services, as well as traditional industries ranging from equipment manufacturing and household appliances to new materials in an attempt to become a leading hub for manufacturing and modern services in Guangdong province by 2015.

Foshan is attaching equal importance to the development of Sino- German Industrial Services Zone, which aims to foster industrial services such as R&D and design, test and certifi cation, information sharing, conventions and exhibitions and vocational training and to become a model zone with management standards and a business environment similar to industrial parks in Germany.

Foshan is also known for being the ancestral home of martial arts movie icon Bruce Lee and its infl uence of martial arts with other big names including Yip Man and Wong Fei-hung being likewise popular among the Chinese home and abroad.

The city is also famous for its chefs and their mouthwatering delicacies among all.

Requirements

- A minimum of college education

- Fluency in English with outstanding presentation skills

- Excellent communication skills and confi dence in negotiating with business people

- Proven experience in marketing and branding, multinational work experience is an advantage

- Frequent business trips to elsewhere in China and abroad

Hours: Full Time
