This year's Liu Sanjie Cultural Festival is set to be different from previous years with activities divided into four parts, corresponding with each season, in order to promote tourism in Yizhou year round.

The spring series of activities include the Ten Thousand People Folk Singing Gathering, an ethnic culture parade and folk singing fair.

During her speech at the opening ceremony of the festival, Li Li, chief of Hechi's publicity department, said that Hechi has been focused on tourism development for years. "The Liu Sanjie Cultural Tourism Festival is of great significance to promote Liu Sanjie culture and enhance Yizhou's reputation," Li said.
