HOUSTON - The Houston Rockets bounced back with a much improved performance in a NBA preseason game Wednesday night, knocking off the Memphis Grizzlies 109-102.
The Rockets have seen some great performances out of Kevin Martin and Patrick Patterson in the preseason. For Wednesday's game at the Toyota Center, Martin notched another game high 22 points. Patrick Patterson added 17 points with six boards.
Omer Asik had nine points and 11 rebounds before fouling out with 7:59 remaining, while Jeremy Lin finished with seven points, 12 assists and four steals.
Carlos Delfino had 14 points and Toney Douglas had 13 off the bench for Houston.
Mike Conley led the Grizzlies with 18 points, while Rudy Gay added 13 points. Zach Randolph added nine points and 10 rebounds.
After Wednesday's win, the Houston Rockets moved its record to 3 wins and 2 losses in its five preseason games.
In another preseason game in Dallas Wednesday, the Phoenix Sun beat the Dallas Mavericks 100-94.
