Man injured after trying to kiss snapping turtle

A drunken man showed up to a farmers' market in Beijing Wednesday and proceeded to try to swallow up a snapping turtle. According to onlookers, the man had "a strong smell of alcohol," and soon hoisted up a turtle, locked lips and remained trapped in the creature's embrace for nearly ten minutes, the Beijing Youth Daily reported Thursday.

When the turtle finally released the unnamed drunkard, onlookers said his lips had "swollen up," as could be expected, but he didn't seek medical attention and eventually walked out of the market.
