Meetings among China's top advisory committee members began Tuesday in Beijing.
Often referred to as the "two sessions", or "Liang Hui" in Chinese, the meetings attract immense attention from the global media.
The number of foreign reporters attending the annual session in 2013 grew by 20 percent since last year to nearly 1,000, which is a record high for the event.
China Daily reporters spoke with several foreign journalists about what they expect from this year's meeting of China's top legislative body.
