YANGON - All representatives-elect of Aung San Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy (NLD), which won the majority seats of the April 1 by-elections, will attend the ongoing session of the parliament for the first time on Wednesday, the NLD confirmed Monday.

The attendance will be made in compliance with people's desire and request, said Suu Kyi.

Myanmar parliament's two-house sessions had resumed separately in Nay Phi Taw last Monday after adjournment for a month, but NLD delayed its attendance until coming Wednesday.

The parliamentary sessions, the first convened after April 1 landmark by-elections, were being so far attended by 377 parliament members with the House of Representatives (Lower House) and 215 members with the House of Nationalities (Upper House) totalling 592.
