Vienna, capital of Austria, surpassed Australia's Melbourne for the first time to become the most livable city in the world this year.
In a survey conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit, the research and analysis division of the Economist Group, 140 cities in the world were rated on livability based on their performance in different categories, which include stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.
Vienna scored 99.1 out of 100 in the rating, while Melbourne scored 98.4.
