High-tech rescue exercise held on Yangtze

More than 300 people and 32 boats participated. The advanced rescue equipment included underwater search and rescue robots, drones helping to drop life buoys and put out fires as well as high-tech rescue boats.

During the 90-minute exercise, passengers were rescued from a boat collision, a fire extinguished and an oil leak mopped up. Passengers and boats were also moved to a safe site and two containers salvaged.
