High-tech rescue exercise held on Yangtze

Zhuo Li, deputy director of the Maritime Search and Rescue Center under the ministry, said the exercise helped improve emergency response, better ensured the safety of people’s lives and property, and helped protect the Yangtze River’s environment.
The Yangtze transported 2.69 billion metric tons of cargo last year, maintaining its position as the world’s largest river in terms of cargo transportation for 10 years in a row, according to the ministry.
