Top 10 prefecture level cities by influence

An index on overall influence of top 100 Chinese prefecture-level cities was released recently in Shanghai.

A total of 293 prefecture-level cities throughout the country were evaluated in five major aspects: quality, service, innovation, tangible assets and intangible assets by China City, a newspaper under the People's Daily.

Guangdong province boasted 13 cities followed by Jiangsu with nine, Zhejiang, Henan, Shandong and Sichuan, all recording seven cities on the top 100 list.
