Silicon Valley has taken the crown in global startup ecosystems, according to a report from the US research firm Startup Genome.
New York and London are tied for the second place, followed by Boston and Beijing, ranking fourth and fifth, respectively, the Global Startup Ecosystem Report showed.
Shanghai remains strong at eighth, a position it has held for four consecutive years.
The report maps the global startup industry in 140 leading ecosystems worldwide based on seven factors, including performance and talent.
