Train loaded with fruit from Laos arrives in China

A freight train from Laos to China loaded with 25 standard shipping containers filled with fruit arrived at Mohan Railway Station from the Mohan port in Yunnan province on Saturday, marking the opening of the designated supervision site for imported fruit from Laos.
It was also the first direct freight train for imported fruit for Chinese market via the China-Laos railway.
A total of 543 metric tons of fruit, including bananas, longan and durian, which had been loaded in Vientiane, Laos, departed from Mohan Railway Station to their destinations across the country after inspection and quarantine.
