Chef training program promotes business

Zhengguo township in Guangzhou's Zengcheng district is expecting to advance rural revitalization by training chefs in Cantonese cuisine and integrating culture with tourism.

The Zengcheng district human resources and social security bureau said the district has trained 8,262 chefs so far, after launching the Cantonese food program in 2016.

More than 6.75 million yuan in subsidies have been offered to 12,361 chefs for business startups.
