In an old street in Zhengguo township, most of the 70 households along the street operate specialty restaurants, which are a tourist attraction. Zengcheng is located in the eastern part of Guangdong.

Zhengguo's wontons, dace skin and Lanxi rice noodles have become locally famous.

Chen Guanzhong, a wonton restaurant head, said the Cantonese chef program has played a role in helping residents start business and find jobs. He opened his restaurant after learning how to make and cook wontons in the program.

Chen has 10 staff member, including his wife, son and himself, and reached annual revenue of more than 2 million yuan before the COVID-19 outbreak. Revenues grew to more than 1.3 million yuan last year, despite the pandemic.
