Elementary school students of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province recently tried their hands at making blue calico at the Nantong Blue Calico Museum.

Nantong is known as "the home of China's blue calico", which has a history of more than 1,000 years.

In 2006, its blue calico dyeing craft was listed as a national-level intangible cultural heritage.
