Sandstorm in Beijing expected to end by Tuesday evening

The level of PM10 soared to more than 1,000 mcg per cu m on Monday evening and peaked at 1,384 mcg per cu m at 10:00 pm, which meant severe air pollution.

On days when air quality is good, the PM10 level usually remains below 150 mcg per cu m.
