Checked Shirt Festival attracts thousands of young professionals

An event named after checked shirts was held in Dalian, Liaoning province last week, bringing together tens of thousands of IT professionals who participated in a series of fun activities, including industry alliance exchanges, a cosplay show, and a matchmaking corner.

The event was run by the organizing committee of the China International Digital and Software Services Fair 2023 and hosted by the Dalian Software Industry Association. From Thursday to Saturday, camps for well-known enterprises and for various themes were set up at the city's Xinghai Square, hosting various salons, cold banquets, technical seminars, and artistic performances.

"In 2021, the first Checked Shirt Festival was held during that year's digital and software services fair, and it was well received by industry insiders," said Qin Jian, secretary general of the association. "This is a very infectious event. I didn't have any checked shirts before, but now I not only wear one myself but also use it as a gift for business activities."
