International Congress of Basic Science kicks off in Beijing

BEIJING -- The International Congress of Basic Science (ICBS) was inaugurated in Beijing on Sunday under the theme of "Advancing Science for Humanity."

The event will run from Sunday to July 28 and brings together over 800 leading scientists and renowned scholars from home and abroad to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange. The congress focuses on three branches of basic science: mathematics, theoretical physics, and theoretical computer and information sciences, according to the congress organizer.
