Shanghai rescue team in action in Zhuozhou

"The flooding in Zhuozhou is different from the previous one in Henan province. The water conditions in Henan were still. Here in Zhuozhou, the water is flowing rapidly due to flood discharges, and this makes rescue efforts more complicated," said Zhou.

"We noticed that many people have been unable to operate a boat under such conditions, and this means they cannot venture into villages to rescue people. As such, our team decided to take on this task in some of the worst-hit spots like wood factories, Baita village, and Diaowo township," he added.
