Although the Mid-Autumn Festival is not an official public holiday in Japan, Japanese people still observe customs such as appreciating the moon and enjoying mid-autumn delicacies. Many individuals also take the opportunity to climb high places and admire the moon during the festival. Businesses also introduce special foods like moon-viewing hamburgers and moon-viewing rice cakes.
"Japanese participants of the Uenode Panda Mid-Autumn Festival are particularly interested in Chinese cuisine. Here, they can enjoy authentic Chinese dishes that many Japanese people have never tasted before. The food provides them with a true taste of China," Sakurai said.
