Tokyo event highlights Liaoning's cultural and tourism heritage
A promotion event for Northeast China's Liaoning province was held at the China Cultural Center in Tokyo on Friday, showcasing Liaoning's cultural and tourism offerings through photo exhibits, local cuisines and enchanting performances.
Lu Xichao, deputy head of Liaoning's culture and tourism department, said at the event's opening: "This year marks the 45th anniversary of the signing of the China-Japan Treaty of Peace and Friendship and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between Liaoning and Kanagawa." He said people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and the two regions have been extensive and close.
"I hope through this special exchange event, the Japanese people can have a comprehensive, multi-dimensional understanding of Liaoning," said Lu.
