Lantern show to kick-start 2024 China-France Culture and Tourism Year

Next year will be the Year of the Dragon, and so dragon elements will be featured prominently in the lantern show. Also, as the show centers around the theme of "Spirit of Mountains and Seas", based on the iconic book Shanhaijing, or The Classic of Mountains and Seas, visitors can expect to see many interesting legendary creatures portrayed in the book.

The blend of East and West, such as the seven-stringed guqin and the French horn, and weiqi (go) and chess, is also one of the highlights of the lantern show. Such combinations allow visitors to admire artistic impressions of this cultural mix.
