The Bocuse d'Or 2024 China Selection competition closed in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Monday, with Macao chef Oscar Wang winning first place.
Wang defeated seven other chefs from around the country in the finals and will represent China in the Asia-Pacific division. He aims to qualify for the global finals, which will be held in Lyon, France, next year.
Bocuse d'Or was created by famed chef Paul Bocuse in 1987. It is a prestigious gastronomic contest known also as the "culinary Olympics".
